High pressure to our southeast will provide both sunshine and mild temperatures to the area today.

Some occasional thin clouds will be possible from time to time, but these should do little to reduce the available sunshine. No rain is expected.

Winds at the surface will still end up from the northwest, especially during the afternoon, with speeds around 10 mph.

However, milder air will work in aloft, and the sunshine and winds will help mix it down to the surface.

Expect afternoon highs to reach the low and mid 70s.

Tonight, skies will be clear at first, but an increase in thin clouds will be possible during the overnight hours.

Evening temperatures will drop to the mid 50s with overnight lows bottoming out around 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sun and clouds. Very small chance for a stray shower. Morning lows around 50. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun filtered through thin clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with some filtered sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with some filtered sun. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
