A road will be closed for a couple of days as water mains continue to be installed.

Projects on Main Street is the city’s continuation of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) construction work. Cortland started working on projects last year.

According to an update from Crown City Rising, construction crews will be installing water mains between Orchard Street and Groton Avenue in the city of Cortland.

The update noted that Central Avenue between Main Street and Chruch Street will be closed to all traffic on Monday (June 19) and Tuesday (June 20). This is in order for crews to facilitate water infrastructure installation.

Crews are also installing individual water services on the west side of Main Street near Tompkins Street.
