The weather will continue to be warm and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms today.

Precipitation should be a bit less widespread today compared to Friday and Saturday. However, it will again be possible at almost any time, though the afternoon hours will be the most favored.

Most of the precipitation should remain isolated, small cells that will be hit-or-miss. Some areas may not see any rain today, while a couple miles down the road, it pours for a time.

Lightning will be possible but should be limited to the strongest isolated cells. No severe weather is expected, and the flooding threat should be limited to very localized poor drainage areas.

Some sun should poke out between the clouds here and there. This will only help temperatures rise, with highs coming in around 80 degrees. Dewpoints will be in the mid to upper 60s.

This evening, showers should dissipate and most of the overnight will be quiet. Temperatures will only drop back to around 70 degrees this evening with an overnight low in the low 60s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs around 80.

Tuesday: Showers and a few thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Thursday: Clouds, some sun, and a few more lingering showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs near 70.
