A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after he got into an accident and was found to be driving while intoxicated, according to a report.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that Dean J. Babich, 59, of East Islip, got into a single car accident in the area of Route 13 and Webb Road in the town of Cortlandville.
Babich was charged with a DWI and driving with .08 of 1% or more of alcohol (both misdemeanors), and failure to use a designated lane and two counts of driving across hazard markings (all violations).
Babich was released and now scheduled to appear in Cortlandville town court on July 24.
