Emergency responders dispatched to a fatal motorcycle accident on Thursday morning, according to a report.
Cortlandville deputy fire chief Mike Biviano confirmed that a motorcycle hit a lawn mower in the area of Page Green Road and Blodgett Mills Road in the town of Cortlandville. This resulted in the driver being ejected from the bike.
The fatal accident occurred around 7 a.m. on Thursday.
Biviano noted that Page Green Road is closed at the intersections of Blodgett Mills Road, Starr Road and Ely Road for “an extended period of time.” Biviano added he is not certain how long the road will be closed.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. A representative from the sheriff’s office could not be reached at this time.
