A library in Cortland County reopened today (Thursday, July 6) after health issues within its building.

Phillips Free Library, located in the village of Homer, has been closed since the middle of June due to issues with bed bugs.

According to its Facebook page, the library has brought in pest control and gone through the process of cleaning books and other materials in the building for the past few weeks.

The library will reopen today (Thursday, July 6) from noon to 7 p.m. The library staff spent Wednesday cleaning and checking in books to prepare for the building’s reopening.

According to the library’s Facebook page, the children’s playroom will remain closed until staff can wash the toys.
