Low pressure will meander through the region today, keeping a chance for rain at almost any time.

However, that does not mean it will be raining all day, and there should be ample dry time between individual showers and small thunderstorm cells.

The rain will be hit or miss, on and off throughout the day, with the peak of the activity coming during the afternoon hours. Individual cells will remain small and may only last for a few minutes at a time.

Thunderstorm activity should be limited to the occasional few rumbles and brief downpours.

Stray showers will continue into the evening and overnight period but should mostly come to an end before the sun rises Saturday morning.

Winds will start the day from the south but will turn to the west during the morning and the northwest by the late afternoon. Wind speeds will generally be around 5 mph but will pick up a bit later in the day and into the evening.

Temperatures will top out in the mid to perhaps upper 70s this afternoon. It will feel a bit muggy with dewpoints in the mid 60s.

Tonight, temperatures will drop back to the mid 60s during the evening hours with overnight lows just under 60 degrees.
