A few spits of rain today will be possible as another bundle of atmospheric energy passes through.

The rain will be possible at any time today but will be most likely during the afternoon hours.

Most of the rain should be limited to highly localized, small, quickly moving cells. A few broader clusters may form, and a rumble of thunder or two cannot be ruled out.

Due to the localized nature and small size of the cells, there will likely be areas that miss out on the rain altogether.

Outside of the showers, the skies will be a mix of sun and clouds.

Temperatures will be similar to yesterday with highs in the low 80s. Dewpoints will remain modest in the low to perhaps mid 60s.

Showers should dissipate quickly this evening, leaving clearing skies and some patchy fog in their wake. Overnight temperatures will drop to near 60 degrees.

Winds throughout the daytime and nighttime hours will be nearly calm with just a whisper of wind from varying directions.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 60. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday: Sun, clouds, and possibly thunderstorms at any time. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs near 90.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s.

Saturday: Showers and thunderstorms. Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.
