The Cortland Free Library and Cortland Youth Bureau’s Arts, Parks and Books is in its final week of the summer.

The program, scheduled for today (Tuesday, July 25) at 10:30 a.m. at courthouse park, will showcase The REV Theatre Co.’s Aesop’s Fables On Stage.

The description of the performance is as follows:

“Aesop’s most famous stories (such as “The Lion and the Mouse” and “The Tortoise and the Hare” and many more) come to life in this 45- minute fast-paced show that is perfect for all ages.”

The performance is free and open to the public. If the weather is inclement, the show will move to the Cortland County Office Building gym on Greenbush Street.

The REV Theatre Co. is based in Auburn.

“We are fortunate that The REV Theatre Co. has performed for us every summer for several years,” said Tammy Sickmon, Cortland Free Library’s youth services librarian.

Funding for this performance was covered through grant funding by the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County.
