Cortland County Undersheriff Budd Rigg retired from the county sheriff’s department on Thursday.
According to a Facebook post, Rigg served at the county sheriff’s office for almost 28 years.

“Thank you for your dedicated service to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and to our community,” said county sheriff Mark Helms via the Facebook post.
