A couple of local businesses will temporarily close their doors as construction in the city of Cortland continues.

According to Crown City Rising, New York Bagel Cafe & Deli on Main Street will be closed on Monday (July 31) as construction crews install water service to the building.

Crews will also continue installing and connecting water to individual buildings along the west side of Main Street between Orchard Street and Groton Avenue. The project of repairing and rehabilitating underground vaults is ongoing

According to city mayor Scott Steve, Pita Gourmet on Main Street is closed this week. Construction crews will soon conduct a water work project at the property.

Projects on Main Street is the city’s continuation of its Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) projects. Cortland started working on projects last year.
