Once again, Cortlandville man violates order of protection

A town of Cortlandville man once again violated an order of protection over the weekend, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report stated that Ereik L. Alexander, 27, of Cortlandville, violated an order of protection on Sunday (Sept. 3) while in presence of a subject at a residence in town.

Based on previous reports, it’s the third time that Alexander has violated an order of protection since early August 2023, and the second time in a week. For these violations, he was arrested on Aug. 1 and Aug. 29, while being charged with second-degree criminal contempt for each.

Alexander’s third arrest on Sept. 3 came with another second-degree criminal contempt charge (a Class-A Misdemeanor). He was arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Sept. 13.
