Stockbridge Valley was not able to celebrate their goal for too long, as the Lions answered back with a goal of their own a minute later. Junior midfielder Jack Stafford crossed a low ball to senior Canden Stafford to put the ball in the back of the net, and make it 1-1.

“I thought we moved the ball well,” said coach Brown. “We just didn’t finish well. We had a lot of opportunities to put the ball away. We should’ve won that game, but we just couldn’t put them away.”

Cincinnatus is scheduled to play Stockbridge Valley once again on Wednesday (September 13th) at Stockbridge Valley high school at 4:30pm.

When asked about what he thinks the team will need to work on before facing Stockbridge Valley once again, Cincinnatus captain Canden Stafford said they will need a, “full team coming out healthy with no injuries, and connecting passes when we need to because our team kind of fell apart at the end.”
