The stalled out front that has been lingering in our region for days will finally depart today.

Clouds and a few stray showers will remain a possibility this morning with the front still nearby. Most areas will probably not see rain, and those that do should see minimal amounts.

Sunshine will start to mix with the clouds during the late morning and midday hours and should increase through the afternoon. By the late afternoon, skies may be mostly sunny.

A northwest wind will blow in the wake of the front with light speeds around 5 mph.

Afternoon highs will mostly be in the low 70s. A few southern areas could sneak into the mid 70s, especially if the sun comes out quickly this afternoon.

Tonight, some new cloudiness will start to filter in. At times, it will be cloudy, but at other times, it may end up mostly clear. Eventually, the clouds should win out. No precipitation is expected, though.

Evening temperatures will drop back through the 60s with overnight lows in the mid and upper 50s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Early sun, then some clouds. Evening showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Wednesday: Morning showers. Increasing sun for the afternoon. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: A little sun early and late. Cloudy otherwise. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
