An area of unsettled weather will continue to drift through the region today.

Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day. A glimpse of sunshine here or there is not out of the question, though.

The morning hours should be relatively dry, though a stray shower cannot be totally ruled out, especially early on.

Rain chances will increase in the afternoon and evening hours. Even then, though, the rain will remain scattered and off and on. Some areas may be able to sneak through the day with little to no rain.

Also during the afternoon, there could be a stray rumble of thunder or two.

Temperatures will top out in the mid and upper 60s across the county. As usual, higher elevations will see the cooler temperatures.

Winds will be from the northwest with speeds up to 10 mph.

Tonight, rain showers will linger into the evening and possibly overnight, transitioning to a few lake effect showers from Lake Ontario.

Evening temperatures will drop into the upper half of the 50s with overnight lows around 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: A morning shower. Then increasing afternoon sun. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. A few morning clouds. Morning lows in the low and mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 60s.

Thursday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low and mid 40s. Afternoon highs around 70.

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
