County Sheriff’s Blotter: Robbery, larceny and more

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recently released arrest reports for robbery, larceny and more.

Below is a breakdown of each arrest.

 

Jaydin M. Hornbuckle

Hornbuckle, 22 of Solvay, was arrested on Tuesday (Sept. 19).

The county sheriff’s office report stated that Hornbuckle allegedly “forcibly entered” a residence in the town of Homer. 

According to the report, Hornbuckle “got into a physical altercation” with a victim and stole the victim’s car keys. Hornbuckle proceeded to steal the victim’s vehicle and left the Homer residence.

The vehicle was recovered shortly after the incident and the victim was not injured, the report noted.

Hornbuckle was charged with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree robbery (both Class-D Felonies), second-degree burglary (a Class-C Felony), third-degree criminal mischief (a Class-E Felony), petit larceny (a Class-A Misdemeanor) and second-degree harassment (a violation).

Hornbuckle was sent to Cortland County Jail on a $6,000 cash bail or $12,000 bond. He is due to appear in Homer town court on Oct. 3.

 

Kaitlyn M. Armstrong

Armstrong, 20 of Freeville, was arrested on Wednesday (Sept. 20).

The county sheriff’s office report stated that Armstrong allegedly stole merchandise from a Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville. 

Armstrong was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. She was processed, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Oct. 16.
