The Homer Lady Trojans lost a close game by the minimum score of 0-1 at Homer high school Tuesday evening against Morrisville-Eaton.
Morrisville-Eaton took control of the majority of the game, with them taking a total of 16 shots throughout the game. Homer’s defense stood strong with Aislynn Cobb at goal recording 15 saves in the game.
The only goal of the game was scored close to three minutes into the final quarter by Morrisville-Eaton sophomore Molly Orth off an assist from fellow sophomore Addison Shantal.
“I think the girls played awesome,” said Homer head coach Brooke Head. “They (Homer) did really well together. They (Morrisville-Eaton) dominated, and we held them. So I am definitely impressed with that.”

With this loss, Homer has fallen to an overall record of 4-6.
Homer now has a total of 6 games left in the regular season.
When asked about her thoughts on the rest of the season, coach Head said, “We got a couple of tough games coming up. We got Weedsport, then we got Cortland next week, and Port Byron next week as well. We’re looking forward to it, and I definitely think we can come up on top in some of those.”
Homer will play Weedsport at Weedsport high school this Thursday (September 28th) at 4:30pm.
