Clouds will continue to move through the area today but without any precipitation.

The best chance for sunny breaks today will be during the morning hours. The clouds should increase and thicken for the afternoon, but even then, a few glimpses of the sun will be possible.

Winds today will be out of the southeast between low pressure over the Ohio Valley and high pressure over eastern Canada. Wind speeds will be slightly over 5 mph.

The more southerly component to the wind direction, along with the breaks of sun, will help temperatures climb a touch higher than in recent days. Look for afternoon highs in the mid and upper 60s.

Tonight, occasional clouds and southeast winds will persist. This will help hold temperatures up and it should not be nearly as chilly tonight as the last several nights.

Evening temperatures will dip into the low and mid 50s and overnight lows will be in the upper to perhaps mid 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Mostly cloudy. Maybe a stray shower. Some late sun. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 60s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
