Dominant high pressure will have today feeling more like the first day of September, not October.

Sunny skies will be commonplace from start to finish. Only a few thin clouds from time to time and a few areas of morning fog are expected.

Otherwise, it will all be blue skies and sunshine.

Winds will be from the north at speeds between 5-10 mph. The north winds will actually be bringing in warmer air.

Afternoon highs will solidly be in the mid 70s for all but a few of the highest hilltops in the northern parts of the county.

This is about ten degree above the average high for the first day of October, and about spot on for the average high of September 1st.

Clear skies will remain after sunset and through the overnight, again with just a few small areas of fog possible.

Evening temperatures will drop into the upper 50s, then dip to the mid 50s overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sunny with fair weather clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs nearing 80 degrees.

Thursday: Sun with increasing thin clouds. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
