The Cortland Police Department is currently investigating an accident in the city that involved a motorcycle and a car, according to a report.
The accident took place at the intersection of Warren Street and Broadway Avenue on Sunday. The city fire department arrived on scene just before 6 p.m., said city deputy fire chief Derek Reynolds on Monday.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported by Dryden Ambulance to the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, due to the extent of his injuries, Reynolds said. No other injuries were reported.
The city fire department cleared the scene just after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Further details surrounding the accident remain to be seen.
