A cold front will usher in cool air today as rain gradually pulls away from the region.

Rain showers will be most common this morning. Over time, the rain will become less and less common before it ends completely later this afternoon.

A few breaks of sun may be possible between showers, with a better chance for some sun at the end of the day.

Winds will turn to the west and northwest this morning and increase this afternoon. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph with gusts around 20 mph.

Temperatures will not move a lot today, spending much of the time in the mid 50s. The afternoon, if anything, will be a degree or two cooler than the morning.

Tonight, temperatures will quickly drop into the 40s under partly cloudy to, at times, mostly clear skies. Overnight lows should reach the low 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Breezy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs around or just over 50 degrees.

Monday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning lows in the mid and upper 30s with some patchy frost possible. Afternoon highs around or just over 50 degrees.

Tuesday: Clouds, some sun, and a few showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 50s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 50s.
