Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, October 16, 2023:

A northerly flow of cool, moist air will keep lake enhanced rain showers in the area again today.

Skies will be mostly to completely cloudy throughout the day. The best chance for a few brief glimpses of sunshine will come during the afternoon hours.

Occasional showers are likely at any time. Individual showers may not be long lasting, but there will be enough throughout the day to keep it wet and gloomy.

Winds will be from the north-northwest with speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts will be just over 20 mph.

Afternoon highs will make it into the low 50s with a few pockets of mid 50s. These warmer pockets are most likely in the southern parts of the county.

Tonight will be more of the same with plenty of clouds and occasional showers.

Evening temperatures will drop into the mid 40s with low 40s for overnight lows.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. Morning lows in the low 40s.  Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Wednesday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Thursday: Thin overcast, possibly with some filtered sunshine. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: Scattered showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
