Individual strikes minor ‘multiple times’ on a bus (County Sheriff’s Blotter)

An individual was arrested on Friday after he struck a minor “multiple times” on a school bus, according to a report.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s office report stated that officers received a harassment complaint on Friday afternoon.

According to the report, Kobe R. Tetreault, 18 of Cortlandville, engaged in a “physical altercation” with an 11-year old victim on a school bus.

The report noted that Tetreault struck the minor “multiple times” and obstructed his breathing by placing the minor “in a chokehold.”

Tetreault was arrested Friday evening and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child (a misdemeanor), and second-degree harassment (a violation).

Tetreault was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Oct. 25.

Brian M. Belardinella Jr.

Belardinella, 23 of Cortlandville, was arrested on Thursday (Oct. 12).

The county sheriff’s office report stated that Belardinella stole merchandise from the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville.

Belardinella was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. He was processed, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Oct. 23.
