The City of Cortland Department of Public Works detailed a way to report streetlights out, after a city council member expressed concern for dark streets.

Councilperson Mary Clare Pennello (D-3rd Ward) said at Tuesday’s council meeting that a good amount of city residents have reached out about street lights being out. Pennello added that it has become a city-wide issue, noting a safety hazard with dark streets.

DPW supervisor Nic Dovi mentioned that city residents can report a street light outage by filling out a form here on the city’s website.
