One area of low pressure will move through the Great Lakes today while a second takes shape along the Mid-Atlantic coast this afternoon.

Between these two systems, there will be a chance for a few showers today in our area.

While the main areas of rain associated with these two systems should stay to our west and east respectively, stray showers will be possible at almost any time today.

The best chance for rain will come during the midday and early afternoon when some of the eastern area of rain may build far enough west to clip our area.

Outside of the showers, a few breaks of sunshine may even be possible.

South winds will blow steadily at speeds near or slightly over 10 mph. Top gusts on the day will be 25-30 mph in lower elevations and 30-35 mph over the hilltops.

Temperatures will be mild today with highs in the low to perhaps locally mid 60s.

Tonight will be cloudy with rain becoming likely after midnight as the western area of rain marches eastward. The rain should mainly be light and should depart near or before sunrise.

Nighttime temperatures will be in the low and mid 50s this evening, falling to around 50 degrees by sunrise.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers, especially in the afternoon. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Sunday: Cool and breezy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Monday: More sun than clouds. Morning frost with lows in the low and mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.

Tuesday: Sunny with morning frost. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
