The City of Cortland is moving along with its projected 2024 budget.
City mayor Scott Steve and council members on Tuesday moved the 2024’s $34.38 million budget from tentative to proposed. A letter from Steve and a breakdown of the tentative budget can be found here.
The city provided further details on tax and fee-related impacts, along with slight changes to the proposed 2024 budget. A breakdown of those changes are below:
The city’s proposed budget now moves to a public hearing on Dec. 5, which is before council’s regularly-scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. Mayor Steve and city council members will look to adopt the budget at its 6 p.m. meeting on Dec. 19.
