The Cortland-Homer Golden Eagles lost 0-3 against Bethlehem Friday night. With this loss, Cortland-Homer has fallen to an overall record of 0-2.

“Tonight is a tough loss to be upset about,” said Cortland-Homer head coach Paul Quinlan. “We played really well. Bethlehem is pretty consistently one of the better teams in Section II (Albany), and they have a deep and talented team. We really fought hard tonight and pushed them in all 3 periods. We were 0-0 until under 10 minutes in the game, and then just gave up a few late ones. Credit to them. They play the right way and made the plays down the stretch, but if we can maintain that competitive level and effort, we are going to get better and better. This is a fun group to coach, and we are ahead of schedule I think.”

Bethlehem’s goals were scored by Dane Jones (1 goal), Tyler Fabian (1 goal), and Cade Jones (1 goal).

Cortland-Homer is now scheduled to play Thousand Islands at the JM McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland at 2:15pm today (December 2nd).
