Another area of low pressure will pass by today, bringing more showery weather to the region.

Rain will be possible at any time today, but the best chance for steady rain will come from about midday through the afternoon. It probably will not rain steadily during all of that time, though.

Even if it is not raining steadily, the one and off showers will be persistent, and the breaks in the rain will be small.

Precipitation will not appreciably wind down until the evening and overnight as dry air wrapping into the low moves overhead. A few stray showers will still be possible, though.

With the center of low pressure passing to our north during the evening, winds during the day will be from the southeast. Wind speeds may be around 10 mph at times.

Tonight, winds will turn to the southwest, with a final shift to the west during the predawn hours. Nighttime wind speeds will stay near 10 mph.

After a mild start to the day, temperatures will rise around or fewer than 10 degrees for a high in the mid to perhaps upper 40s.

Temperatures will slowly drop through the 40s this evening, reaching an overnight lows in the upper 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Cloudy with a few rain or snow showers, especially early. Temperatures mainly steady in the upper 30s throughout the day.

Tuesday: Maybe an early flurry. Otherwise, more clouds than sun. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. A few snow showers. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Some late snow showers. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs near 30 degrees.
