A quiet day is ahead as warm air pushes deeper into the region.

No precipitation will fall today and we should even see some blue sky and sunshine.

That will be most likely in the afternoon, with some areas of thin clouds this morning. To varying degrees, the sun may be able to filter through some of these early clouds.

There will still be some clouds around this afternoon, but sunshine will be more plentiful. Some periods of mostly clear skies will be possible.

A south-southeast wind will blow with speeds slightly under 10 mph.

The wind and sunshine will help give temperatures a nudge upward. Highs will top out near or slightly above 40 degrees.

Tonight, south winds will continue, with temperatures only dropping slightly. Evening temperatures will be in the upper 30s and overnight lows will make it to the mid 30s.

Clouds should gradually increase during the nighttime hours, but precipitation is still not expected.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Saturday: Clouds and perhaps some filtered sunshine. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs near 50.

Sunday: Rain, heavy in the afternoon, turning to snow after sunset Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: A few snow showers. Breezy. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
