Varsity Wrestling: Marathon vs. Multiple Teams (Dave Buck Memorial Tournament)
The Marathon Olympians participated in the Dave Buck Memorial Tournament at Elmira high school this past weekend.
Marathon ended up placing 6th overall out of 11 teams.
Individual highlights:
- Braydon Homer placed 3rd in the 145 lbs weight class
- Julian Spizzirri placed 3rd in the 170 lbs weight class
- Simon Donah placed 4th in the 108 lbs weight class
- Brendan Gumaer placed 4th in the 131 lbs weight class
- Brittan Keller placed 4th in the 152 lbs weight class
- Gabriel Crumb placed 4th in the 160 lbs weight class
Varsity Track & Field: Marathon vs. Multiple Teams (Finger Lakes Invitational)
The Marathon Olympians competed in the Finger Lakes Invitational at SUNY Cortland on Saturday.
Here are some highlights from both the Marathons boys’ and girls’ teams:
Marathon Boys
- Andrew Edsall came in 3rd place in the 1,600 meter run (Time - 4:58.0). He also placed 4th in the pole vault event (Result - 9’0”) and finished in 6th place in the 600 meter run (Time - 1:42.23)
Marathon Girls
- Abigail Trabucco finished in 2nd place in the 600 meter run (Time - 1:52.85). She also placed 4th in the pole vault event (Result - 7’06”)
Varsity Girls Basketball: McGraw vs. Tully

The McGraw Lady Eagles lost 16-64 on the road against Tully on Saturday. With this loss, McGraw has fallen to an overall record of 0-3.
McGraw was led by Hannah Wilson (6 points) and Leah Terwilliger (5 points).
Tully was led by Rachel Daddona (24 points) and Samantha Morgan (10 points).
The Lady Eagles are now scheduled to host the Cincinnatus Lady Lions for a county rivalry game at McGraw high school on Tuesday (December 12th). Tip off is at 6pm.
