Individual pulls fire alarm, receives felony charge (City Police)

An individual pulled a fire alarm “for no reason,” according to a report.

The City of Cortland Police Department report stated that officers responded to a fire alarm at 29 Charles St.

According to the report, upon arrival, no fire or emergency was found. It was discovered that Robin M. Rumpff, 30, intentionally pulled the fire alarm “for no reason.”

Rumpff was charged with falsely reporting an incident, a Class-E Felony. Rumpff was issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
