Low pressure will pull away from the region today and high pressure will eventually move in to take its place.

Widespread snow will continue for a time this morning before tapering off to lighter flurries. Only a few lingering snow showers are expected by the early afternoon, mainly over the northern parts of the county.

An additional inch or so of accumulation will be possible this morning.

The afternoon will remain cloudy with some blustery northwest winds. Wind speeds will top out near 15 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

These winds will import cold air into the region, ensuring temperatures do not move much today. Expect temperatures to remain steady in the upper 20s through the afternoon.

Tonight, skies will gradually clear and winds will turn to the southwest as high pressure moves in.

Temperatures will dip to the mid 20s this evening with an overnight low around 20 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 20. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Thursday: Sunny. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Friday: Still sunny. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
