A woman stole from a local store in front of children, according to a report.
The Cortland County Sheriff’s report stated that Sarah M. Bishop, 36 of Cortland, stole merchandise from the Walmart store in the town of Cortlandville while “in the presence of two children.”
Bishop was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child (both misdemeanors). She was arraigned, released and is now due to appear in Cortlandville town court on Jan. 18.
