A quick moving, weak weather system will pass through the area today.

Skies will be cloudy throughout the day. Some light, steady snow will fall, beginning in the early afternoon and persisting for several hours.

No more than a coating to perhaps an inch will accumulate, mostly over higher elevations.

Temperatures will work their way up into the mid 30s this afternoon. Winds, thankfully, will be light, coming in from the southwest with speeds up to 10 mph and gusts no higher than 20-25 mph.

Tonight, there may be a few breaks in the clouds as the weather system pulls away. There may also be a few stray flurries off Lake Erie as winds turn to the west.

Evening temperatures will dip into the low 30s with an overnight low in the upper 20s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Cloudy with snow arriving late, likely turning to rain during the evening. Another round of strong southeast winds. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon temperatures highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Breezy with a few lake effect snow showers possible. Morning temperatures near 40 falling to the low 30s in the afternoon.

Sunday: Lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Monday: Clouds, maybe a glimpse of sun. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.
