Cortland County has once again been issued a wind advisory, the third one this week.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, the wind advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday.

Drew Montreuil’s Friday weather report for The Cortland Voice states that 25-to-35 mile-per-hour winds will come from the southeast and peak between 8 p.m. and midnight. Wind gusts will range between 45 and 55 mph.

According to Montreuil, winds won’t be as strong as the ones during Tuesday’s advisory, but tree damage and power outages could still happen. After midnight, wind speeds are expected to taper off.
