Low pressure to our southeast will spread snow into our area today.

The snow will fall throughout much of the day, but as a general rule, the morning snow will be heavier than the afternoon snow.

Accumulations by sunset should be on the order of 2 to 4 inches.

Light northeast winds will blow at around 5 mph this morning. These will turn more northerly and increase during the afternoon with speeds near 10 mph.

With the snow expected to be light and fluffy, areas of blowing and drifting snow are likely.

Temperatures will only rise a few degrees today, reaching a high in the low to mid 20s.

Widespread snow will taper off in the evening, but lake effect off Lake Ontario will be quick to develop overnight. The best chance for no snow will be between about 10 PM and 2 AM.

Evening temperatures will quickly fall through the 10s on their way to an overnight low in the mid and upper 0s.
