Warmer air will start to move in today, resulting in near-average temperatures.

Some sunshine this morning will help temperatures rise quickly from a cool start. However, clouds will increase through the morning, and the afternoon should turn out mostly cloudy.

No daytime precipitation is expected, however.

Winds throughout the day will be from the south-southwest with speeds around 5 mph. Top wind gusts should be under 20 mph.

Temperatures will climb steadily and should make it into the low 30s this afternoon.

Tonight, it will remain cloudy with southwest winds in place. Evening temperatures will mostly remain steady in the low 30s with a slow decline to an overnight low in the mid and upper 20s.

There will be just a small chance for a brief flurry, mainly during the evening hours. Most areas should remain dry.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Cloudy with some afternoon snow. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with rain showers. Maybe some icy or snowy pockets early. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs near 40.

Thursday: Cloudy with periods of rain. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Cloudy with rain showers. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
