Low pressure will bring precipitation to the area throughout the day, much of which will fall as snow.

The best chance for rain to mix in will be during the morning hours. Over time, the rain will become less common as snow elevation levels drop. By the afternoon, most areas should be seeing all snow.

Temperatures will mostly be just above freezing during the daytime hours, which will help keep roads mostly just wet and limit accumulations.

Still, some hilltops could see as much as 4-6 inches of snow through the evening, while most other areas will see 2-4 inches. A few warmer pockets may not even see 2 inches.

The snow will decrease in intensity for the evening and taper to scattered flurries overnight. Little to no additional accumulation is expected.

Temperatures will dip slightly after sunset into the low 30s. During the predawn hours, it will drop a little more, reaching about 30 degrees.

During the daytime hours, east winds will blow at under 10 mph. After sunset, the wind will turn more to the northeast, then north, and increase to around 10 mph.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a few lake effect snow showers. Morning lows around 30. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Tuesday: Clouds and some sun poking through at times. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
