A weak weather system will swing into the area today with plenty of clouds and spits of precipitation.

While a bit of rain or snow will be possible at any time today, the best chance for precipitation will come in the later afternoon and evening hours.

Precipitation will be spotty and light with rain more likely than snow during the day and early evening. Gradually, snow will become more likely later in the evening and overnight.

Even when the precipitation falls as snow, it will be insignificant with no accumulation expected.

Southwest winds will be steady today with speeds of 5-10 mph. These will turn to the northwest this evening and overnight with lights speeds at or under 5 mph.

Afternoon temperatures will make it into the upper 30s and a few places may just manage to hit 40 degrees. Evening temperatures will slide back into the mid 30s with and overnight low in the low 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Mostly cloudy. A few stray snow showers, possibly mixing with a little rain. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
