Homer Police: ‘Erratic’ driver arrested for DWI

A “erratic” driver was recently arrested for driving while intoxicated, according to a report.

The Homer Police Department report stated that officers conducted a traffic stop on Clinton Street for Eduardo Herrera-Hernandez, 22 of Homer, after receiving a complaint of an “erratic” and possibly “intoxicated” driver.

According to the report, officers discovered that Hererra-Hernandez had an open container of an alcoholic beverage in his vehicle. He was taken into custody without incident.

Hererra-Hernandez was arrested on Sunday (Jan. 28) and charged with driving while intoxicated, speed in zone, failure to keep right, failure to dim headlights, unlicensed operation and for an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle. He was released and is now set to appear in Homer town court on Feb. 20.
