City Police Blotter: Breaking a TV, drug possession and more

The City of Cortland Police Department recently released reports of arrests that occurred over the weekend.

Below are the arrest reports:

Zachariah A. Maxwell

Maxwell, 25, of Cortland, was arrested on Sunday (Feb. 4).

The city police report stated that Maxwell, involved in a domestic dispute, allegedly kicked and broke a television while in the presence of children less than nine years of age.

Maxwell was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child (Class-A Misdemeanor). He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in Cortland city court on Feb. 21.

Travis J. Eldridge 

Eldridge, 39, of Fabius, was arrested on Saturday (Feb. 3).

The city police report stated that Eldridge allegedly unlawfully entered a residence, shattered a glass window to a residence and physically harassed an individual in the residence.

Eldridge was charged with third-degree criminal mischief (a Class-E Felony), second-degree criminal trespass (a Class-A Misdemeanor) and second-degree harassment (a violation). He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in city court on Feb. 21.

Michael L. Williams

Williams, 24, of Cortland, was arrested on Saturday (Feb. 3).

The city police report stated that Williams allegedly threatened to kill a 19-year old female while communicating through FaceTime.

Williams was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment, a Class-A Misdemeanor. He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in city court on Feb. 24.

Lawrence A. Nemecek 

Nemecek, 33, of Cortland, was arrested on Saturday (Feb. 3).

The city police report stated that Nemecek was allegedly in possession of Cathinone, a synthetic narcotic drug, after being arrested on a warrant.

Nemecek was charged with unlawful possession of cathinone, a Class-A Misdemeanor. He was arraigned, processed, released and now due to appear in city court on Wednesday.

Andrew M. Mott

Mott, listed as homeless, was arrested on Saturday (Feb. 3).

The city police report stated that Mott was allegedly in possession of fentanyl, a narcotic drug, after being arrested on a warrant. 

Mott was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class-A Misdemeanor. He was processed, arraigned, released and now due to appear in city court on Feb. 21.
