Here are some local high school varsity sports recaps from Monday’s events:
Varsity Girls Basketball: Cincinnatus vs. Otselic Valley

The Cincinnatus girls basketball team defeated Otselic Valley with a score of 35-23 on the road Monday night. With this win, Cincinnatus improved to an overall record of 5-11.
Cincinnatus was led by Rachael Standish (18 points), Cortney Scutt (6 points), Lydia Schutt (5 points), Mandi Waltz (2 points), Camryn Crothers (2 points), and Peyton Tefft (2 points).
Otselic Valley was led by Miranda Hackett (8 points), Riley Bartlett (6 points), Cameron Bartlett (4 points), Emma Rooker (3 points), and Abiana White (2 points).
Cincinnatus’ next game will be played on the road this upcoming Friday (February 9th) at 5:30pm.
Varsity Girls Basketball: McGraw vs. Madison

The McGraw Lady Eagles fell to a 6-9 record after losing to Madison with a score of 50-14.
McGraw was led by Hannah Wilson (5 points), Leah Terwilliger (3 points), Eden Sears (2 points), Lexi McCall (2 points), and Heather Magee (2 points).
Madison was led by Mackenzie Cotter (18 points), Lauren Zehr (10 points), McKenzie LaMunion (8 points), Catherine McBride (6 points), Camryn Parmon (6 points), Janet Coleman (2 points).
This was McGraw’s last regular game of the season. According to Section III, there will be a seeding meeting for the upcoming sectional tournament on Saturday (February 17th).
Varsity Girls Volleyball: Cincinnatus & McGraw Section III Class D Tournament Seedings Announced
The Section III girls winter volleyball sectional seedings and matchups were announced on Monday (February 5th). Both Cincinnatus and McGraw are scheduled to participate in the Section III Class D Tournament.

The First round of the tournament is scheduled to take place on Wednesday (February 7th).
