With high pressure to the east, warmer air and cloud cover will both move into the region today.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds through the morning hours. During the afternoon, however, a deck of clouds high in the atmosphere will build in from the west.

These clouds will blanket the sky but may be thin enough to allow a little filtered sunlight through at times.

No precipitation will fall from these clouds.

South winds between 5-10 mph will blow throughout the day. Despite the decrease in sunshine, these winds will lead to an increase in temperatures.

Afternoon highs should reach the upper 40s today. A few places may even briefly make it to 50 degrees.

Skies will stay cloudy tonight and the southerly winds will increase to near 10 mph.

This will keep evening temperatures near 40 degrees and overnight lows in the mid 30s.

After midnight, a few breaks in the clouds may develop, but so too may a few showers towards dawn.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: More clouds than sun. A few stray rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Saturday: Clouds, a little sun, and scattered rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs near 50.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy and cooler. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.

Monday: Clouds and some sun. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
