With a large low over central Canada and a strong high to the east of New England, south winds and sunshine will push temperatures up today.

There will be some scattered clouds to mix in with the sunshine today. Most of the clouds will be thin and high in the atmosphere, having little impact on the availability of sunshine.

The morning should have more of these clouds than the afternoon. However, it will cloud up substantially this evening and overnight, though with no precipitation expected.

South winds will build through the morning to speeds of around 10 mph. These winds will persist through the afternoon and nighttime hours.

The result will be afternoon highs near or slightly above 60 degrees. Even evening temperatures will remain in the 50s for quite some time.

Overnight lows will end up in the mid 40s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Cloudy with rain possible, especially in the afternoon. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Wednesday: Cloudy. Afternoon rain. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Sun and a few clouds. Morning lows near 30. Afternoon highs in the upper 40s.
