City: Arrest made in connection to February burglary

The City of Cortland Police Department made an arrest in connection to a burglary in February, according to a report.

The report stated that on Feb. 21, city police officers investigated a complaint of a subject who allegedly broke into a locked office and maintenance room of an apartment complex on Park Street.

According to the report, Terry L. Howard, 43, was allegedly living in the maintenance office area. Howard was confronted by the landlord and fled the scene. The report noted that items were missing from the maintenance office area.

Howard was arrested on a warrant on March 14 and charged with third-degree burglary (a Class-D Felony), petit larceny (a Class-A Misdemeanor) and harassment (a violation).

Howard was arraigned, released and is now due to appear in city county at a later date.
