An approaching warm front will push some clouds into the area today.

Not all hope for viewing the eclipse is lost, however. Not only should there be some breaks in the clouds, but many of the clouds will be thin enough to occasionally view the sun through.

There will be periods of thicker clouds to contend with as well, though.

There may even be a few spits of rain here or there, especially later in the afternoon and into the evening.

Winds will be light from the south with speeds around 5 mph.

Temperatures will rise into the mid or perhaps upper 50s. During the eclipse, the temperature will likely drop a few degrees.

Skies will remain rather cloudy tonight with a chance for stray spits of rain continuing. These will be most likely before midnight, and the clouds should break up some after midnight.

Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s this evening and to around 40 degrees overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Early sun with increasing clouds. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs near 70.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 60.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with rain showers. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: Cloudy with rain showers likely. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
