Low pressure far to the northeast will pull further away from the region today as high pressure builds in from the northwest.

This will lead to a mostly quiet day across the area with a mix of sunshine and clouds.

A stray spit of rain cannot be totally ruled out, especially this afternoon. Most areas should stay dry, and even those that do see rain will only see minimal amounts.

Winds will be from the west-northwest today. Morning wind speeds will be light, but they will pick up in the afternoon to around or slightly over 10 mph. Top gusts will end up just shy of 30 mph.

Temperatures will reach a high in the mid and upper 50s this afternoon, depending on elevation.

Tonight, skies will clear and winds will become light again. Evening temperatures will quickly drop through the 50s and into the 40s.

Overnight lows will end up in the mid 30s.

Wednesday: Scattered showers. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: A few showers. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 60.
