Homer Trojans defeat East Syracuse Minoa to keep winning streak alive (photos included)

The Homer Trojans are now on a three game winning streak after beating East Syracuse Minoa at the Gutchess Lumber Sports Complex on Monday (April 22nd). Homer won the game with a score of 6-2. 

With this win, Homer improved to an overall record of 4-3. 

“Great six innings by Maddox (Johnson), and supported his efforts with 3 hits and a tremendous day in the field for the entire team,” stated Homer head coach Robert Nasiatka. “We worked through and stranded 10 men for ESM. Andrew Kline had a great game at third and Eli McMahon had a great game in right field. Team effort, great win.”  

Homer was led by Maddox Johnson (3 hits, 2 RBI’s & 3 strikeouts thrown), Tristan Allen (2 runs, 1 hit & 2 strikeouts thrown), Tyler VanEtten (1 run, 1 hit & 1 RBI), Andrew Kline (1 run, 1 hit & 1 RBI), Mitchell Earle (1 run & 1 hit), Evan Sullivan (1 run & 1 hit), Eli McMahon (1 hit & 1 RBI), and Max Franco (1 hit). 

East Syracuse Minoa was led by AJ Graham (1 run & 2 hits), Trey Bova (2 hits), Luke Liedka (1 hit & 1 RBI), Nick Commisso (1 hit), Michael Munger (1 run), CJ Fleet (8 strikeouts thrown), and John Reale (1 strikeout thrown).
