High pressure will be parked just north of the area today, keeping skies clear and temperatures chilly.

A light north wind will blow throughout the day today. Wind speeds will only be around 5 mph, but it will be enough to ensure temperatures remain cool today.

After a frosty, cold start, afternoon highs will have a hard time getting beyond 50 degrees today. Some higher elevations will not even get that warm.

But, skies will be bright and sunny with very few, if any, clouds expected.

Clear skies will continue into the evening and through the nighttime hours.

Winds will remain light but will turn to the southeast. It will not matter much, with evening temperatures freefalling into the 30s and overnight lows in the upper, possibly even mid 20s once again.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Saturday: Clouds, some sun, and some rain showers, especially late. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Monday: Sun and clouds. Maybe an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs near 80 degrees.
