The daytime hours will once again be quiet and dry today, but a few showers or storms will be possible tonight.

Skies will not be as sunny as yesterday, though some breaks of sunshine are likely. Clouds will mix with the sunshine and may overtake it at times.

No rain is expected during the daytime hours, however.

Light south and southwest winds will blow with speeds around 5 mph.

These winds will bring warmer air back into the region with highs today in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Late afternoon showers and storms will develop over western New York. By the time they enter our region early this evening, they should be in the decline phase.

Still, a few areas will likely see some rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder. A bit of small hail or a strong wind gust are unlikely, but not impossibly out of the question.

A few lingering showers will dot the area overnight. There is a slight chance that a good portion of the county ends up with little to no rainfall, though.

Evening temperatures will linger in the upper half of the 60s and will reach a low just below 60 degrees overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: Showers and storms likely. Watching the potential for stronger storms. Blustery winds, even outside of any thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: Cloudy with scattered showers. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.

Wednesday: Cloudy with rain likely. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
